Just browsing the local blogs and found this little timeline of Lordship Rec that they've posted following last Saturday's talk at the Haringey History Fair.
Sharing it for interest:
*A little more info from A N Wilson's London: A Short History
Lordship Rec, dubbed by Wilson 'a fantasy of Socialist order', reflects both the vision of pre war Socialists under Herbert Morrison (Mandelson's grandad), leader of the LCC, with its allotments and sense of space for those living in flats and tenements in Tottenham and its model traffic area which apparently reflected their interest in a co ordinated public transport system. On its opening day 500 children queued from 8am for tickets.

Afraid not. Above was a bit of a cut and paste job but if you click the Lordship Rec link it takes you to their blog which may have the info.
There is no exact date but it is bookmarked for late summer 2012.
The football pitches were finished a while ago and are almost professional looking as they dug out to a great depth to get the best foundations for drainage so that they could be used as often as possible.
The Environmental Hub building containing a cafe, WCs and meeting hall is under construction still but that is the only major work still needed. The river Moselle is now fully rerouted and the bridges completed, along with some planting in the main area with trees.
Once that is done they can start rebuilding the paths and do the final dressing of the park. It should look fantastic when it is all done.
I thought there had been some talk of a city farm at Lordship Rec. Sometime before the reality of the ecomonic downturn set in. In 2008 maybe? Does anyone know or remember anything about this?
There were indeed plans for a city farm Tilly but I don't think that they are part of the final version at present and may be deferred until a later date if funds become available.
There are confusingly two versions of the park layout with significant changes being the additional lakes in the version on the Lordship Rec website but the current layout of the Moselle is much closer to the Haringey version.
