I'm looking for a bed as mine is falling apart. If anyone has a bed they are willing to sell, let me know!

If you are still looking for a bed, we have an IKEA double bed, used but in "as new" condition. It has been taken apart, with five main pieces: headboard, footboard, two wooden side bars, one central metal support. All parts are there. I would estimate that it would take two people about an hour to put together. You would need to collect it, and it would be best to have a small van or a big SUV. We would be happy to give it to you. We live at the St Ann's Road end of Woodlands Park Road, near to Green Lanes
Hi Chris, that is lovely and yes it sounds great. Do you have a picture of it by any chance or know what it was called so I can check it out online? My number is 078 2419 5573 if easier to communicate on there.
Thank you so much!
Hi Cecilia - Terrific! You have no idea how happy we will be that the bed goes to a good home. I got it, free, from someone in Crouch End, so the only cost was to get it over here. Then, of course, we realised it was going to be a few inches too wide to fit the space comfortably. I will check the IKEA name for the bed, and send you a link. I am pretty sure that IKEA have instructions on how to put it together, online, though of course their instructions are not always that easy to follow. However, a lot of putting back together this one is pretty well intuitive. I'll also try to take some photos, and then my wife, who is the computer genius in the house, will help me to transfer them to my laptop so I can send them to you.
Thanks Christopher! You make a good point about measurements :) I should check my mattress/house fits! But this all sounds great thanks so much! Look forward to hearing from you.
Here is a link to the IKEA page showing the bed, in the correct colour. Hope it tells you what you need to know:

It is more or less a standard double bed, and very sturdy.
Hi Christopher
I'm so sorry to come back to you so late, but my move got seriously delayed. I'm still interested in the bed, if its available. Would I be able to come pick it up at some point this weekend?
And do you think I can get all the bits in a cab? I'll need to get it to my new place somehow...
Thank you so much for bearing with me!
I'm sorry to disappoint you, Cecelia, but the bed left us long ago. It went to the British Heart Foundation. Best of luck in locating another. There are almost always bed frames on TrashNothing website, if that's any help.
Haha to be expected - I dithered for three months! Thanks again for offering
