Local cab firms that don't suck

Hi everyone

I had two unpleasant and frankly embarrassing instances of poor cab service in the area (N15/N4 boundary) this weekend and am hoping to get some recommendations so I am never put in this situation again when friends and family come to visit.

Which cab firms do you find reliable?

I am reluctant to name and shame for safety reasons, but the first firm sent a driver who talked on the phone throughout the entire journey (illegal but not that unusual), the second attempted to charge a whopping surcharge on top of the agreed fee because we had not informed them that there were five people traveling, despite them turning up in a car that could accommodate seven. Naturally we told them where to get off.

We've now struck both firms off our list permanently, but it would be good to have some good ones on said list at all.
