Less cash this year for Haringey's roads
MAYOR of London Boris Johnson has awarded Haringey a lower transport grant than last year - from £5.4million to £3.8million - which could threaten road improvement work.
The funding boost from Transport for London is to deliver better transport from 2009 to 2010.
But Councillor Brian Haley, Haringey Council cabinet member for environment and conservation, said the cash was less than he wanted.

There was also a bit about this in the Advertiser this week which had a breakdown of where the money will be directed including £375, 000 on 20mph zones, £435, 000 on road renewal and £73, 000 on cycling. Walking gets £145,000.
