Worth a look at this post.

Thanks Hugh, but that post is really old --- Things change fast in london. :)

Mmmm....but some of the people tend to stick around. From that post, for example, Justin organised a few events and is still around. Yost trying to be helpful.

Oh no don't get me wrong, i appreciated your reply. Guess i was just a bit disappointed there wasn't anyone in 2011/2012 discussing these types of issues. ;)

The last HarinGay meet up was advertised on here in July 2011 I think they had a reasonable turn out. Not sure if they still meet monthly. Maybe Pamish will know.

HI Hugh!

I am new ´here in Haringey. Is there anything going on in the neigbourhood, a meeting, etc.
??

Greetings

Christoph

scene-wise don't know, but there's a lot of us around !

I'm more school gates than club nights ))

Are you looking for where people hang out, wanting to know if there are LGBT folk in the streets by you, wanting to know if there are meet ups ?

Might be my unique humour but i didn't understand the school gates thing - are you serious? Are you a kid? Or was it a joke?!? ha ha!????

The Garden Ladder, although not a designated 'gay bar' is more than just 'gay friendly' as most bars claim. The bar has attracted a very decent, socially adept customer base over the past few years. People's sexuality is of no importance as is colour or ethnic background.

Oh great, i'll take a look for a tea sometime. Thanks for letting me know! :)

T's bar on the beginning of Turnpike Lane is gay'ish, maybe worth a try. I haven't been there a while but it used to be the gay bar around here. Was better when it was known as Catch 22. Fairly quiet unless you get there after 11pm on Friday / Saturday. Otherwise you're looking at the Black Cap, Camden NW1,  if you're under 25 you can access LGBT youth groups and there are some local gay groups out there. Have fun.

Dug

Hi Dug,

yeh i went past there on the bus the other day (T's) and there seemed to be a gunshot hole on the front windows (??!) or some sort of hate crime ... that;s what actually prompted me to write up this post- i didn't mention it because i didn't know the actual name of the bar.

It's no biggie, i am totally involved in the east london -dalston gay scene (vogue fabrics, dalston superstore, george & dragon, the joiners, star of bethnal green , the nicest scene i ever knew ), but just wondered if there's was a cool atmosphere in harringey similar to east london, as i'm just about to move there :) Wish it was a bit more open up there.
