Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

It always surprises me that some of my raspberry canes produce a second crop well after the summer is over.  These late berries never look or taste quite as good as the first crop but they are good enough to make jam.  Here's a shot of today's haul picked between the showers.

My crop seem to be getting later and later every year, no idea why, but yes I too have them now, and they have been delicious

Yes, our autumn fruiting varieties have done better than the summer fruiting ones this year, must have got the pruning right at last..

Very impressive Dick I had a few raspberry canes which were doing quite well. Had a new fence installed over the summer and unfortunately they trampled the raspberry canes. So no raspberries this year.

You will probably be OK next year.  Raspberry plants are very persistent and they also spread freely.
