Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Lantern Making and Shadow Show at the Wildlife Trail (Booking reuquired)

Sophia Jones with help from the Parkland Walk Wildlife Trail volunteers is hosting a children's event a few days before Halloween.

The activities are aimed at children aged between 6 and 10.

  • A nature hunt around the candle lit trail
  • Make a lantern using twigs, twine and tissue followed by
  • A parade around the trail with lanterns aglow and finally
  • A shadow puppet show

This isn't a drop off event and children need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

There will be a large gazebo that will accommodate the children while they make lanterns and watch the shadow show. Accompanying adults may want to bring a small stool or camping chair. Because this isn't a large area there are only a limited number of places.

To reserve places email foparklandwalk@gmail.com with the heading 'Lanterns and Shadows'.

Places are limited to 2 children per family. Priority will go to paid up members of the Friends of the Parkland Walk. No food or drink provided but bring snacks/water bottle for your child if you like.

Location: The Wildlife Trail is a small area to the side of the path on your left shortly after entering the Parkland Walk from Holmesdale Road.

Thursday 28 October 4.45pm - 7.00pm
