Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Great Hugh Fernley-Whatisname initiative I caught a glimpse of this evening - Landshare,

In a nutshell the idea is that if you have a garden that's little used, offer it to someone who'll use it to grow food. They then give you a cut of the produce of your land for no work. Love the idea.

The woman I saw featured had grown enough to keep her small family in veg as well as that of the gardens' owner since they started the scheme.

Just noticed a "land owner" listing for N15:

I have a medium sized garden available in the Turnpike Lane/South Tottenham area. Neither my flatmate nor I are green-fingered so it is a blank canvass. It's not in a great state but not terrible either. Am happy to loan it out to an individual or couple for gardening, planting veg, or whatever!

Original listing here.
A reminder to folks that this scheme is still going. A "sizeable garden" off West Green Road was listed quiet recently.
