Landline phone socket need moving - can anyone recommend someone?

We need our main BT landline phone socket moving a few feet before work is done on that wall. The box outside on our house wall (where the phone line goes in) is also in need of repair. I'd rather not pay BT prices nor wait months for the work (which was my last experience of them).  Can anyone recommend someone competent to do this work?
