Lammy to speak about riots at Runnymede Trust

The Runnymede Trust have just announced that David Lammy will be delivering the Jim Rose Lecture next February on the subject of this year's riots.

Lammy will reflect on the causes of the tragic events and what role racial inequality has played in this year's riots and the events at Broadwater Farm over 20 years ago. He will also consider what the future holds for Tottenham and for race relations in the UK.

This event is free and open to all with no ticket required. Entry is on a first come, first served basis and the lecture will start promptly at 6:30 pm on Wednesday 1 February 2012.
