Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello there,

We have a window on the landing that is stuck open. It's really high up so if someone has a ladder that we could borrow for a day that would be very helpful as it's very windy!

We're on Seymour Road - if you have any tips on dealing with these windows that would also be welcome.

Thanks!

If you can't get one nearer, I have a twelve foot folding/collapsible ladder you can give a spin to. I'm in seven sisiters. Folds down so fits in car.

Thanks for your speedy reply Pamish, will def keep you on the radar if we don't find something closer.

Hi, I am on Oakdale Rd, N4 1NU and have a 3.5m ladder you can borrow if you want. Pic here.

Hi Laurence, thanks very much for the offer. I may see if my friend is around on the weekend to help me. My only worry is falling off but you're within walking distance so if we can get it I will give it a go! Will be in touch, thank you

Hi - We have an adjustable ladder, which can be constructed so as to work on stairs safely. I bought it to do work in our big main stairwell, but haven't used it yet, so it is still in the plastic packaging. You are welcome to borrow it for your job. As we are high risk for Covid-19, we would need to arrange for me to bring it down, put it on the front path for you to look at, maintaining social distancing, and for you to take it from there.

Hi Chris, thank you, where abouts are you? If you're close enough and I can carry it I'm happy to come see it. Same aa above really, it's just about me being able to carry it to use safely. Happy to maintain social distancing too. Thank you

Hi Sophie - We are at the St Ann's Road end of Woodlands Park Road. The ladder is folded up, and is roughly 4' x 2'. I have never used it, so cannot speak for its stability etc; but it is a well-regarded brand. I think you would really need two people to carry it any distance on foot. I would also be very cautious about working with it in the space shown in your photos. It would be very easy to fall, even if the ladder is very stable, and I think a fall might result in a nasty injury. At the minimum, I think you need to have two people working on it, one to do the work, the other to make sure the ladder is stable, hand up any tools etc. If you would like to look at the ladder, I can remove the clear plastic packaging etc - I've only left it on as I've not had an opportunity to use it. I'm sending you a Connection request.
