Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
£6.2 million is the size of the claim by Firoka on Alexandra Palace
IT IS JUST recently officially in the public domain that Firoz Kassam's Firoka is suing our Charity, i.e. the funds of Alexandra Palace, for £6,200,000.
The corporate trustee is Haringey Council, which means that this claim is in effect on taxpayers or if not a taxpayer, on residents via possible cuts in services to that amount. I hope the council has the guts to counter-claim.
This audacious threat would never have been possible in the first place if the Trust Board had been populated by independent, competent Trustees with high quality legal advice.
Does anyone not agree that it is urgent that we have independent trustees for our charity, leading towards a Trust Board largely independent of council control?
