Are you ready to help drive a food growing initiative that will push up the amount of food that is grown in London? Growing Communities is looking for a Coordinator for its new Patchwork Farm project AND four Apprentice Growers.

We’re very excited to have secured a grant from the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food Scheme to grow our Patchwork Farm in Hackney.
We now need a Coordinator to help us to double the apprenticeships we offer, find suitable land and offer supported business start-up opportunities.
Patchwork Farm Coordinator: Salary £23,045 pro rata (plus discount on veg/fruit bag), 2 days a week (15 hours). The role is a fixed-term contract for three years.
We are also recruiting this year’s round of apprentice growers so if you want to get your hands dirty, now’s the time to apply.
Apprentice Growers (4 unpaid positions): to assist our Grower in the production of organic vegetables, herbs and fruit at our urban market gardens in Hackney. The posts start in April and run for 28 weeks. Two posts are 1½ days per week (Mon  or Thurs 9.00am – 4.00pm and Tues 2.00pm – 7.00pm) and the other two are Tuesdays only (9.00am – 7.00pm).
Apprentice growers will be given the opportunity to take on their own organic sites at the end of the growing season.
