Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Wolves Lane is recruiting!

  • Are you passionate about creating inclusive community spaces?
  • Do you want to help make good food accessible to all and build a healthier, more sustainable food culture?
  • Do you have collaborative organisational skills to make activities happen working with diverse communities?

Wolves Lane Centre in Wood Green is the former council-run plant nursery and garden centre that has been run by a consortium of community organisations and volunteers since 2017, with a focus on growing and distributing wholesome food and engaging local communities in education, enterprise and events.

They are looking for someone to support the volunteers currently involved in refurbishing, developing and running the site, and to help take the Centre to its next phase of operation. As well as developing a comprehensive volunteer programme, you will also need to play a facilities management role on site, identifying works needed and organising appropriate volunteers or contractors. You will need to have the drive to hold wide-ranging responsibilities initially and work with the Consortium members to get a full team of colleagues in place as the scale of activity develops.

The role is 21 hours per week, salary: £27,300 pro rata. For full details and how to apply, see http://wolveslane.org/wolves-lane-is-recruiting

Closing date for applications: 9am on Monday 13 May. Interviews to be held on Friday 17 May.

And on Sunday 19th May 2019 from 12-5pm it's the Wolves Lane Community Market, an afternoon of celebration with food, music and market stalls.
