Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Jazz at The Salisbury Presents - Sunday the 20th of Sep - Joe Webb Trio + Unemployed Uncle‏

Another great gig at the Salisbury this Sunday night two great bands featuring the outstanding Huw V Williams

Unemployed Uncle;

As a trio, they met in London Autumn of 2012 through an informal session in a very small underground practice room. From the first note, the Trio were able to negotiate shades going from light to dark as one and would develop a certain chemistry that would develop deeper over countless sessions. Being a co-op band they have taken the tunes through the workshop and explored form and dynamic to set this traditional line up of sax/bass/drums apart from any of the other groups doing it. All three members of the band compose music for the trio, based on the musicians involved. Expect anything from wide textures to thick density and everything in between.

Jonathan Chung - Saxophone
Huw V Williams - Bass
Jay Davis - Drums

Joe Webb Trio

Joe Webb bring his longstanding trio to The Salisbury to premiere new tunes. Having been a side man for artists such as Dave Cliff, Geoff Simkins and The Kansas Smitty's, Joe's music is influenced by jazz and folk, his compositions have often been described as songs without words. Featured in the band will Joe's old college classmates; rising bass star Huw V Williams and the dynamic Lloyd Haines on drums.
