THE GREYISH QUARTET (Birmingham)
The original music of the Greyish Quartet, whilst set firmly in the contemporary jazz idiom, draws influences from hip-hop, rock, minimalism and modern classical music. At the same time the band are not afraid to take on compositions by established composers such as Wayne Shorter, Dave Douglas and Stan Sulzmann. This gig is their first date of an extensive nationwide Jazz Services tour and the Quartet's only London performance.
