Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello!..i know it's been what feels like forever since the opening of our new restaurant / bar was first mentioned on HoL (for us anyway). We were aiming for last July - missed that target by a little bit. If you haven't noticed already we've been working in the venue for a while now and it's looking like we'll be ready to open the doors in about 3 weeks.

we've honestly loved the feedback we received from you all..i'm going to reply to all your comments/questions eventually. I just hope we can create something that the community can feel at home in.

we already have three bands booked for the launch night (no precise date just yet)...here's a link to a song by just one of the artists from just one of the bands..hope you like it!

Great news! Please keep us informed of the opening date and forthcoming events. A very welcome addition to the glorious mix on Green Lanes.

Sounds great - I'd noticed some activity behind those shutters recently! We'll certainly pop in once you're up and running...

Thanks Alex..yeah the work's already begun...a few unwelcome surprises (mainly leaks) came up but we're not too far off schedule.
Sounds great, really looking forward to the opening!
Thank you Jude!

Whilst in principle welcoming a so-called 'Hoxton-style music bar', being an occasional music-blogger, I do have concerns about the impact on the immediate neighbours - especially those living in flats in the same building and nearby. What safeguards are in place governing sound levels and hours and what licensing arrangements have been agreed with the Council?

Hi Geoff. Hope the Hoxton tag won't stick...Hugh had asked for a style/theme reference and I'd mentioned a bar in Hoxton. We'll be a bit more toned down than the "vibe" around there. Our ceiling is sound proofed and we'll have thick stage curtains in the shop front when there re live bands. In the long run we're planning to change the front windows to something more substantial. Live music on fri/sat will go up to about 12 and we'll close not long after. I've met the ppl living upstairs, they say they've had no problems with music before but we've exchanged numbers in any case..even if we have the licence we want to work in a way that doesn't disturb anyone so there'll be lots of communication.
