I'm delighted to hear that Harringay's newest establishment is throwing open its doors next Friday.
Located just a few doors up from Blend in the old Muna's building, we started talking about JiJ last May. Affable owner Quto is using his experience of running running the cavernous Question Mark bar/club in Stoke Newington to bring a new dimension to Green Lanes.
It sounds like it's going to be wonderful - cafe, restaurant, bar, lots of live music and even a small studio in the back. The furniture's arriving this week - comfortable old sofas and old gramophone etc.
If Quto gets a minute amongst all the last minute preparation, I'm sure he'll fill in some of the gaps - but still keep us all guessing a bit!

Looking forward to coming tomorrow night - Quto, what are the details??? :)
Popped in on saturday night and was really impressed - great live music, great atmosphere and really stylishly put together. Spoke to Quto briefly and he's planning to have live music three nights a week. Menu also looks pretty good, although I haven't tried the food yet. Apparently, they're planning to start a brunch menu as well.
Surprised this place hasn't had more coverage on here actually. I really recommend popping in.
Well, It's kinda had quite a bit over the past year, given that it had yet to open. I'd intended to go along for the opening. In fact I tried to. I went along on Friday at Midday and a sign saying "Come back tomorrow" was up. I've subsequently learned that it must have been left up from Thursday, but at the time took it to mean that opening was put back a day. Guess I boobed. I couldn't go Sat or Sun so I'll pop in one day this week and grab some snaps.
Popped in for a quick drink earlier in the week - this looks really great. A fantastic addition to the area.
