Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello all.

My wife suffers from insomnia and has done so for over ten years but it is not improving and is becoming steadily worse even after years of doctor's visits, hospital trips, sleep therapists and trying various drugs. She is now suffering depression related to her insomnia as it is now so bad it is affecting her ability to work & function. My question is are there any active groups within the borough or in Enfield that my wife can attend/join for fellow insomniacs that can offer her some advice/support? I've given up on the NHS at the moment and she's joined a couple of online Insomniac groups but direct one to one meetings with fellow sufferers I feel would be more effective.

Thanks in advance.

Might sound a bit odd, but try Sleepy by Lush. I know an imsomnia sufferer that recently tried it and its working wonders. Worth a try isn't it?

I'm in the middle of a programme by the London sleep clinic in Harley street. And so far, touch wood, it' seems to be working. Insomnia is the worst thing I've ever experienced so I'm more than happy to impart any knowledge I have if it helps!!

Good idea! What about starting one? If there is enough interest on HoL or if others can contact other local interest, I am willing to check out a few possible locations.

I know of one fairly local place where I could probably arrange a no cost space for an initial meeting.

I'd be up for that. We should probably meet at 3 a.m in the all-night McDonalds ;)
