Incident at the top of Pemberton Road?
Police have closed Wightman between Warham and Mattison. A number of emergency vehicles parked at the junction of Permerton and Wightman.

Pemberton Rd is being resurfaced. According to our street whatsapp group, there has been an accident involving one of the workers. I'm at work, so I don't know for certain what has happened, but it sounds serious.

How awful. There was what sounded like an air ambulance flying low about an hour ago

Pemberton being resurfaced today and a couple of hour into the work, one of the workman was hit by one of the huge tarmac vehicles.
Police and ambulance were on the scene quickly and were doing CPR for at least an hour.
The Road was sealed off and I believe Wightman was closed for while, too. Eventually a tent was erected. The man’s body has just been taken away in private ambulance.
Some of the man’s co workers remained nearby to see him on his way and were visibly upset.
Its been a truly shocking incident
