Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can anyone recommend a hall or anywhere really that is not soft play for a 6yr olds birthday party? Our flat is too small & in October it might be too cold/rainy for a party in the park.  Though if you are allowed to put gazebos in parks I might go for it.

We held a party at the horsey vale community centre, really good space and very reasonable cost.

From Twitter:

@HHatt: @harringayonline the Burghley Road community centre is amazing for children's parties. Should be able to find it on inet. Outdoor area too September

Hi,

There's a new venue for kid's parties available on the ladder. Similar to Burghley Rd only bigger.

PM  me if you're interested in more info.

Matt

Oh so it's a mates only spot is it? Have you converted some bedsits into a playhouse?
At North Harringay Primary (Frobisher Rd). Venue only just coming back to use after decoration over summer. As I say, contact me if you'd like to take a look around the venue or need more information.
It's a bit further east, but the Markfield Project near Tottenham Hale has a hall for hire - with outdoor adventure playground as an optional extra! Very child-friendly.

Also, The Hideaway Building next to Stroud Green Primary School has now been taken over by the school and recently refurbished, they are keen to hire out to try and subsidise the after school club run at the school.

Manager is Lucy Loizou - Lucy.loizou@haringey.gov.uk you could get her direct number via school

Have you thought about Bruce Castle Museum or one of the libraries? If you are interested, send me a message and I will give you the contact details.

Have you tried the cafe on the corner of Green Lanes and Mildmay Park? it's called 'The place On The Corner' (I've always been slightly jealous that I'm too old to go in there!)

But I think they cater specifically forthe parties for little people, and you've got the park just oposite with the playground.

(I don't work there or have any contacts, I've just always thought it looks really cute when I've gone past on the bus!)

Woodlands Park Nursery also hire out their spaces at the weekend.
