I Want To Recommend....Mauritian restaurant Le Chamarel

Instead of opting to go to Jashan on a Sunday evening with my family visiting for Easter, we had forgone the safe option and decided to try Mauritian cuisine a few doors down at a fairly new establishment called Le Chamarel.

Although the interior and atmosphere needs to nurture a personality, the food and service of the staff were definitely worth a mention. They are a fairly new business since summer of last year and it was interesting to find out their popularity is rising based purely on word of mouth.

Portions could be bigger but were quite reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend the prawn, lamb or octopus dish but I'm sure the others are just as good as we weren't able to try all on the night. A special mention has to go out to the king fish samosas which were absolutely delish and different to the regular meat and vegetable options regularly featured on menus.

As a neighbourhood newbie, I'm happy to have found another restaurant contender nearby vying for my hunger tantrums.
