When a block of flats in Hackney was scheduled for demolition, families began to move out.
Instead of boards over the the empty properties windows, a photographic project called
I Am Here put up 67 high resolution portraits of local residents to give Samuel House in Haggerston a complete facelift. They are already starting to provide a striking façade visible from boats on the Regent’s Canal, from the canal side walkway and from the opposite bank.
