How well are Area Forums and Committees Working? Let the Council Know

The Council’s Communities Scrutiny Panel is reviewing the neighbourhood democracy arrangements implemented in 2010.  

Area forums and committees replaced neighbourhood forums as a result of the Governance Review of 2010.

The committee want to assess the performance of the new forums and to make recommendations on how they could be improved.  They say they are particularly keen to find out the following:

• Do you attend? If not, why? What changes would make you attend? 
• How responsive is the Council to issues raised at forums/committees?
• How well do you think the area forums and committees assist the Council's consultative and decision making processes?
• How can the forums and committees be best used?
