How to go on a adventure on your doorstep

Sharing this lovely article by Alistair Humphreys about how he found local treasures and hidden beauty in his backyard by buying an Ordnance Survey map of his unremarkable neighbourhood and using it to explore.

Bearing in mind my limited mobility, I'm fond of Woodberry Wetlands, Downhills Park/Lordship Rec, Hampstead Heath which are all a bus ride away. Or, if I'm up to it, somewhere on the train line up the Lea Valley.
