How the streets were lost
I've pointed it out to people on here before that way before motor vehicles had the rights to the road that they have now there were other users. Children were killed in staggering numbers in their fight for the right to continue to play in the street and now we would call them idiots and their parents irresponsible.
This article tells the story of how the streets were lost in America and how we came to remember those brave wee souls as stupid. I just thought I'd share, best thing I've been tweeted for a while.

If you kill someone with your car while driving you could get 3 years prison but if you take the bumper off that same car and use it to hit someone and kill them you could get 20 years prison - Part of the driving test should entail a visit to the childrens trauma injuries ward (in my very humble opinion)

Find me a link to a case where a driver received a custodial sentence, let alone for three years, after killing a pedestrian.
