Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

How it will happen... a CPZ ceases to be anything more than revenue generation

So young Boris, the articulated lorry driver working for O'Hanlon's in Walthamstow* has a problem. Tomorrow morning he needs to get from his yard in Walthamstow to his first job in Willesden Junction. With all the work they're doing on the North Circular traffic is an absolute nightmare and he is worried about getting there in time. Boris is pondering his situation when his boss Dermott sees him. "So young Boris, what's troubling ya there?.

Boris explains.

"Well now, that CPZ in that road you live in that you're not allowed to take young Girt into 'cause she's too big, what's that called?". "Lausanne Rd" says Boris.

"Well Boris, you've not needed a CPZ sticker on your little red car for all the time you've worked for me because the zone doesn't go through the night. Why don't you take Girt home with ya t'night and then problem solved?

Boris is pleased (he gets a lie in). Dermott is pleased (he's running out of space for all these lorries overnight anyway). Problem solved.

*O'Hanlon's is of course, fictional.

He left as quietly as I guess he could at 6:30.

If you look back at some of our old photos, first you see no cars, then one or two...
