Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi

I'm having an issue where my drains are mostly blocked and no amount of CCTV survey is revealing where my main drain is coming out at the front of the house.

I've got no manhole cover and my drains don't go into next door's - we've checked extensively.

Anyone got any ideas how to locate the drain that exits my house into the main sewer - other speculatively digging everything up?

Brilliant - I'll take a look

Unfortunately my drains don't show on their map. I got Thames Water out and the guy told me it was my responsibility to find the drain.

So a bit stuck - anyone got any other ideas?

Err Adam, hesitant to point down the rabbithole again, but try Googling 'drains london ground radar' , it might give a lead to survey companies since cctv can't crack it.

Big of Thames Water to chuck it back unresolved given the amount of foul drainage going into watercourses/rainfall drains, though I'm not saying that's your particular circumstance.

EMC2 has reported on that related issue about the Moselle Brook I think.

Thanks Gordon , yes I'm on that though unfortunately it's very pricey. I'm trying to find one under four figures.

The Thames Water guy was very dismissive saying thing like "Tree roots can't affect drains" - just factually incorrect. Think I'm going to put in a complaint.

we live on the ladder at the top of our road. Thames Water found that our waste water drains into Wightman road
