Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Anyone else a fan? Personally, I like it straight, with a bit of hollandaise . What's your favourite way to eat those yummy green spears?

British Asparagus

I like mine with lemon, cream and marjoram.

I prefer bent.

ooh er Pam, cheeky :0

I, of course, meant served alone on a plate, steamed, with a bit of sauce and eaten with my fingers.

I politely decline the challenge of replying.

I frequently eat asparagus, simply steamed, as an accompanying vegetable ( and I love broccoli too :-) )

Asparagus goes well with fish.

I'm with Liz, lightly steamed with hollandaise is my favourite and I like steamed artichokes like that too.  Or just melted butter with freshly ground salt and pepper.
Steamed is, of course, a classic; but sometimes I put them on the griddle pan so they keep a bit more crunch and get nice black scorch marks.  Nom.

The addition of prosciutto sounds like a Good Idea.  Perhaps some shaved parmesan over the top too, or would that be gilding the lily?

Off to buy some asparagus presently...

A bonus point to Mr Growbag for correct use of presently.
Surely you epicures are forgetting a shaving of black and white truffle?
@Will, the current pricing of £3 for 250g seems to indicate that yes, it is still a bit early.  Good grief!
Season really starts in May, according to the link I posted above. 12 days to go, gourmets of Harringay
