HMV Wood Green 'Closing Down'
Not surprising news but it has been confirmed this morning that the Wood Green branch will close within 2 mths, as part of a list of 66 branches closing across the country.
So if you want a few retro CDs you have February & possibly March to do so locally. After that is another hole in the floorplan for Shopping City plc. TKMaxx are however expanding into the area once leased by Peacocks.

They are very limited for " classical " music anyway. Most discs seem to be Classic FM products.

Disappointing this, but I'm not surprised, HMV needs to amend it's stock profile and I doubt that Wood Green offers a sufficienly diverse customer profile to keep the store going.
C'est la vie, but HMV could do well to look at some of the more specialist markets, like the reviving vinyl market. Still worth a look when it comes down to a closing down sale!
