Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi ,

My fiance received a ticket for turning right off Hewitt road.

Can anyone advice if there are sufficient signs that this cant take place.

Appreciate your advice.

Thanks

John D, in fairness to Onur's visual acuity, though Wightman Road-Hewitt is well signed, there is not a single sign on either white man or Whiteman. I should certainly lodge an appeal.

I guess he saw it as an attack on his fiancée and rushed to her defence. No worries

Yes, even though the Wightman Rd sign has been graffitoed (sigh) it's legible - and the Road Traffic Act signs at Green Lanes are the ones with legal effect anyway.

Shouldn't  drivers be warned though about the camera? Also this is a very recent change and signs at entrance to Hewitt rd from Wightman should make clear that there is no longer right turn access otherwise you have to go all the way round the block again like I did and the next two roads are no entry!

It seems many people have received fines.

Thanks for that. that forum says there should be a sign saying cameras are recording. Couldn't see one on the thoughtfully  posted pics to this post. Does any one know the safety rationale for changing the end of this street sign to a no right turn?

Thought so. :)
