Does anyone know what's happened with the posts that split Hermitage Road in its junction with Ashfield Road?
The middle one has been removed so the street is no longer split in two and cars can circulate through.

Don't agree that this is a case of gratuitous taunting for entertainment. Seems to me that MH does care about the community and area, but just has a different point of view regarding roads and traffic management compared with your own. I would be most disappointed if MH were to act on your suggestion to leave the stage, although having read previous posts from him/her (edit as required), it would be scarcely likely to happen . Anyway, as a matter of principle, surely you would agree that part of the purpose of sites like HOL is to provide a forum for debate of different perspectives and analyses, including those which might be polar opposites to one's own ?
Oh yes, I remember, you used to be called Moonta according to your URL. Welcome back.
Otiscat, MH is not the one.
You see, from my angle most of the posts on HOL read terribly NIMBY:
- I want a bollard in my street.
- I want 20mph on mine
- no right/left turn
- bus lane... even if it doesn't fit
Bycicle lanes
Remove parking restrictions at certain trimes
Enforce them at others
Personally I'd like to see any non resident in my street not walking but skipping with a funny hat on. I would have my own channel on youtube.
In case you wonder why people use the ladder and gardens as rat race (or try to) is because green lanes and turnpike lane are some point between torture and inferno.
And from what I have seen in 12 years in London, there has never been any holistic circulation planning but that is hardly a surprise with 33 dkfferent autorities in a single city.
in true harringay style, the solution would be to move the bollard to green lanes and have all access through St Anns.
