Labour councillors were recently given a briefing by Cllr Joe Goldberg about a new partnership with Durham University. A copy was sent to me by mistake. It's designed to:
"stimulate growth in the green enterprise sector. To begin with production of a body of useful research that aims to raise the profile of the borough as a place to develop insight, transfer knowledge to associated business sectors, and develop new innvoations in the energy sector will also act to encourage ambition in Haringey’s young people."
Lots of upbeat, positive-sounding words and phrases. But I don't really understand what it's about. Nor why we're spending the money in this way rather than, say, working with London University colleges and other boroughs on joint projects?
I'm sure my doubts are due to my own deep ignorance. As well as the fact that I find it difficult to grasp Cllr Joe Goldberg's subtle and advanced thinking on most topics.
Can anyone with a background in these areas read the attached and offer an expert opinion?

Hey Alan Happy to have a chat with you (tomorrow?) about this. Just read it. Will message my number to you.
Why do they talk about new innovations when , by definition, innovations are new?
