Healing Arts through Self Expression Workshops

I am pleased to inform you that Asian Centre in collaboration with Maxine Alexander has started creating workshops called "Healing Arts through Self Expression".   

Workshop presenter Maxine:  Maxine Alexander is a famous philosopher and an artist who has been regularly conducted these workshops in London for the public at large.  These workshops are meant for every human being!  Maxine states that, "With imagination the impossible becomes possible.  I believe passionately in creativity's ability to aid and promote healing, a sense of well being, a sense of value, expression & self worth". 

Maxine further states that, "We all start out with an innate creative ability but our perceptions with time start to stifle us.  Many of us believe we have to be of a certain ability in order to 'put paint to paper'.  I challenge that concept!  This workshop is about enjoying the process and with that in mind you will be amazed by what you can achieve!  We will use a diverse range of materials and processes including collage; printmaking; pastels; painting; 3 dimensional work and more!  You don't have to have any experience of art, the emphasis is on enjoyment of materials and the process.  Each week we will focus on a different theme working individually and sharing.  We will each produce a piece to take home..."

Day & Time:  Every Tuesday from 2 pm to 4 pm

Cost:  £6.50 waged - £4 unwaged
