Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Here is some consumers experience:
They seem to operate on behalf of NPower, not sure if it is legitimate, I will confirm with NPower tomorrow.

If NPower do work with them it is time to switch suppliers.

Green Peace summary on clean energy:

I use Ovo and they have always been super nice and one of the cheapest tariffs, also offering a choice of mixed or 100% Green energy.

I second that - I've found Ovo to be very good on the whole.

I love Good Energy. I had an email from them this week to say they're putting my gas price down by 7% and going completely carbon neutral.

I had one from 'Buchanan's' years ago - who were from Scottish Power (if I remember right). They had their facts wrong...

They are essentially owned by the energy companies to make it look like they are an external legal company to scare folks into debts (apparently) owed to the energy company...

Have you had one?

Eta I had never heard of Richburns, yikes!

I bought my flat a year and a half ago and get mail from what I assume are debt collectors (return address is a PO box in Huddersfield) for at least three different names - this is a 1-bed flat but I think it was overcrowded, it was certainly a bit of a slum when I bought it.

I return all of the letters to the sender and they have gradually stopped. I got frustrated at one point because I'd had so many and I wrote "CHECK THE ELECTORAL REGISTER" on one of them - that seemed to do the trick. Making sure you are on the electoral register (and no one else is) is very helpful!

They only mail I get now seems to be from Grove Road Surgery, but there is no return address on the envelope. Last time I found the address and wrote it on the envelope but I received another yesterday. At least I know they're not going to send the bailiffs around!

A friend of mine switched from British Gas to Ecotricity in September.  However he just got a letter from them saying they owed over £500 and they were applying for a warrant to enter his property to install a prepayment meter.

They have apologised, but what a scary situation!
