Snapped these at Duckett's Common as I passed by yesterday. (Click and click again for a larger clearer picture).

I have some Grow Wild seed packs left spare Hugh. I had originally hoped plant them along the New River near South Harringay school but that idea may not get too far. Sadly there are not many open spaces that we might be able to plant them in nearby. So, if anyone has any recommendations for planting these seeds in the autumn do let me know.

I was running around Lordship Rec the other day and realised there are large spaces where the council do not cut the grass that I might sow them in the autumn... It will look god in the spring next year.

Are there similar areas in Finsbury does anyone know?

Feel free to plant them in Chestnuts Park. There are areas left uncut for wildflowers. They would go nicely with the new willow gardens.

That is not a bad idea. Next time I am over I will go scout out the areas left uncut.

Those large unmown spaces in Lordship Rec, Justin, are in fact wild flower meadows ! Planted by Haringey with the LR wildlife group. Feel free to add your seeds, or join the group...LR  has the biggest area of wildflower meadow in North London and beyond.

It wasn't going to be down the New River, but a whole host of seeds have been given out and widely planted. I think there's a plan to have a 'river' a poppies along Priory Road/Hornsey High Street.

I will help contribute to their wildfloweness!!! Hopefully we will see some come up in the spring.

What I thought was nice as I run round that area Peter is that it is surprisingly litter free.
