Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Seems like Harringay can't keep itself out of the papers at the moment.

Thanks to Elan Silver at Winkworth's who's just given me the heads up that the Harringay Ladder is set to to be written up in a feature in the Bricks & Mortar section of The Times on a Friday sometime soon.

So, any Times readers out there, please keep 'em peeled and let us all know when it's published.

Interesting to compare future Times piece with Guardian Weekend magazine from January 2006. Harringay? Haringay? Haringey?

Must have taken this image from a flat above a shop on Grand Parade on the 2nd or 3rd floor,
Anyone recognise the vista?

No, but that picture wouldn't encourage me to move here

Come on, those glowing bricks, the abstract roofscape. It could be Cameron's beloved Whitney sur le Cotwolds.

More like Coronation Street

Whitney? Oh, you mean the Harringay rural quarter.

Can you get in contact with the comma people Alan, I feel a branding coming on.

I haven't got the confidence even to lift the phone to Comma consultancy. Never mind actually requesting an audience with them. It would be as if someone tried to light a roll-up from the Olympic torch.

They are amazing, aren't they? Like - I imagine - watching Slartibartfast working on the detail of a fjord in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I don't mean Comma logos; just the sumptuous marketing poesy on their website.
