Harringay Passage - new cleaning schedules
Some information from the LCSP meeting this month which welcomed Chris Collings from Haringey Waste Management.
- cleaning the Passage will shortly be re-scheduled to Mon/Wed/Fri, to ensure better monitoring.
The Saturday clean was not being done well and officers found it difficult to monitor
- 8 sections of the Passage adjacent/close to North & South Harringay Schools will be deep cleaned twice a month, until Sept when the schedule will be reviewed.
I noticed that the paint damage in the stretch between Warham and Pemberton was effectively cleaned up and the lovely paving stones revealed
- a new ‘freeze spray’ is being trialed in our area to solidify dog mess before sweeping
- waste management/Enterprise/enforcement/police have been working together to target dog mess and in Feb there was a series of special patrols with PCSOs in the Passage. They did not appear to catch anyone
