Hi - my partner (born and raised on the Ladder!) and I are very excited about potentially moving into the area and are close to exchange on an end of terrace property adjoining the Passage. The only slight glitch is some damp on the adjoining wall where water runs laterally down the slope of the passage into the house. One suggestion has been to insert a small extra drain alongside but this would involve digging up a few bricks of the Passage (and then replacing them) - but does anyone know if the Council would be remotely likely to agree to this from past experience?! Any other advice from those with similar properties and problems would be v welcome!

You might want to check with Thames Water too as the reasons the Passage is as it is is because this is the route of the a sewer. There is a picture of it being built or repaired in the Gallery somewhere...
Good luck!
