Sadly I think Ant is a bit bushed from the Film Night and Lantern Parade.

John's being generous and is as significant to making it happen as me. But we've talked about it and would like it to happen again this year. I'll look for some funding. 18th or 25th of March perhaps?

Shhhh.... anything I'm openly involved in get's people's backs up! I'd plump for sooner rather than later.

Ward budgets? Ie, from our Councillors? Cannot think of a better use of this money to be honest.

I think we blew all the ward budget on the Lantern Parade...

We're going to do it. Need to talk to Andy/GRA and confirm a date, but everyone start practicing now!

I've never even heard of the Harringay Hurtle although I can see Adam C striding out there! ... but is the jist (from these pictures) that anyone who wants to: registers, runs up Green Lanes by some route and gets a medal at the other end?? Is that roughly it - or is there more to it? ie do you have a party in the park at the end etc?

From the event post last time:

The Harringay Hurtle - a quirky community fun run for adults and children, but its a “hurtle” not just a run so you can do the route any way you like – run, walk, skate, scooter, cycle.

It has two routes, an easy 5km or a longer 10km, which makes it suitable for all abilities, and both the 5km and 10km route start and finish at the same places and criss cross each other along the way so everyone feels they are all doing it together.

At the end of the Hurtle in Fairland Park all entrants get a free t-shirt, drink and donut, photo, and a medal for children. At the park there will be a table top sale with refreshments and entertainment organised by the North Harringay Primary PSA to raise money for the school.

Places are limit so early booking advised as the previous event was booked out.

Booking will open shortly. Adults £5 Children under 15 £3. Includes Runners  number, t shirt, photo, Medals, donut and drink .

I'm always away when this is on. 18th would be good!

Great. Looks good. And I'll do almost anything for a doughnut.

Me to

Don't need a t-shirt

Any news on this Ant?
