Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Haringey Now Charges £265 for an Estimate

I called Haringey yesterday to enquire what the cost would be to put dropped kerb in front of my house for off possible off road parking.

The response I must pay £265 for an application for off road parking to get the estimate.

Haringey must be short of money to ask so much for an estimate.

That is astonishing. I got an estimate some years ago in Bounds Green and we never even had to pay or even have someone visit! What a rip off!

And since then funding from central govt has been cut by 40%...

Welcome to 2015..... When we moved here in 1980 the council was in a position to hand out a modest grant (not a loan) towards the refurbishments we needed to make to the (somewhat dilapidated) house. How times change.
