Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Maybe it's listening to Kate Bush's new album '50 words for snow' that has turned my thoughts to winter on this bright November day.

Anyway, folk might like to know that Haringey's Winter Plan is now published on this page plus lists of priority roads for gritting. The 'headlines' appear to be that they will do their best to keep schools open, that residents are being positively encouraged to clear their paths with "over 150 grit bins are now sited around the borough for community use [which] will be regularly replenished where salt supplies permit. This will enable residents to help grit their own streets and pathways following the guidelines on government websites" (source HC website) and "for the first time machines will be used on some pavements to remove snow"

Let's not forget to have fun as well, eh?

NO EXCUSES then, The council cost me at least a weeks wage because i could'nt get my car out,(and no i cannot use public transport as i carry equipment) i hear you all say.

But they still got there full council tax

Glad to hear there is a plan in place. I hope they can stick to it if there is significant snowfall or ice this winter

Last year the stretch of pavement along NHP was finally gritted on a Monday even though term had ended the previous Friday.
