For those not aware

Their is a email address, for Council, to report unused Disabled Bays etc

Or ones without Markings or Plates

Disabledparkingbays@haringey.gov.net

Seen posts elsewhere where streets have multiply Disabled Bays. Could result in No Valid Resident Bays. While Council still charge to Park. But offer No Valid bays for those that are required to pay for Parking Bays

"Can accept width but not length"

Have found this to be a common issue. Please report back if solution is discovered.

As usual with Haringey Emails. Email come back as unable to accept

I have been trying to get the disabled bay removed from outside my house since last September. After chasing in January I received confirmation that the formal procedures were complete. On 14 February I was emailed saying the bay would be removed within 28 days.  Needless to say it is still there in spite of almost weekly reminders from me.  The excuses are the weather and of course Covid; when I replied saying that I assumed the latter reason had been taken into account when giving a date I got no response!  Parking is difficult enough without having disused spaces in the road.

We have a legitimate designated disabled bay,  in use. We will welcome a longer bay. Drivers persist in parking with their car wheels against or on the lines of the bay and the long bonnets or boots protruding into the bay leaving no room to manoeuvre within the bay. Returning to park can be impossible for a car any larger than a tiny smart car, which we don't have.

These are two separate issue, no?

Maybe "disabled" drivers need the larger bays.

But then the Council needs to be more reactive in removing those bays that are no longer used by "disabled" drivers.
