Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This event is an opportunity to be part of the change under way in Haringey, and to hear what has happened in the year since the launch of Haringey 40:20, a public declaration of to reduce carbon emissions across the borough by 2020.

This a Haringey Council initiative, supported by the New Economics Foundation (nef), and the event is aimed at residents, community groups, charities, social enterprises, and businesses in Haringey.

At the event you will be able to hear the Carbon Commission's key recommendations for Haringey's plan of action; discuss major projects including Haringey's work with other boroughs greening homes, the proposal for an alternative energy scheme, and identifying 'Going Dutch' walking and cycling upgrades needed across Haringey. You will also hear from inspiring guest speakers talking about local carbon-saving projects, and be part of Haringey's action plan leading up to 2020.

The event takes place on Saturday 6th October, from 9.30am - 2.30pm, at Haringey Heartlands Secondary School, Station Road, London N22 7ST.

Places are free but please provide confirmation that you are attending as lunch will be provided.
