4th February is National Librairies Day.
Haringey Libraries are staging some events across the borough. You can find details of what's happening in this months brochure or just pop into your nearest one and hang out.
My first steps into independence was being allowed to go to the library alone (it was in my street) and it was there I met my first (but not last) bookcrush when I took out my first adult book, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. That little 100 year old library in Ipswich is being fiercely defended from closure by a determined group of campaigners and I'm glad to say that it is still open.
