Since opening, the pioneering electrical repair shop has sold over 1,750 items and is seeing a steady flood of customers looking to have their faulty electrical items repaired or recycled. Over 4,000 people have visited the shop.
The hard work of sorting, repairing, testing and recycling is carried out by a team of trainees and volunteers, including local young people, several of whom have gained qualifications and gone on to find other employment.
The Bright Sparks Shop is at 225-229 Seven Sisters Road, London N4 2DA. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 12.30pm to 5.30pm, and until 7pm on Thursdays.
