We keep on getting hand written notes through the door stating someone wants "to rent or buy a flat or house on the street". I find the whole thing really suspicious. Rent or buy? Flat or house? Surely there is a big discrepancy between these options! And hand written? Really? This morning’s one added ‘funds from Australia, ready to go’. So odd!

@harringayonline With a note like that, it's normally a developer looking for a bargain. If you want to sell, find a good Estate Agent.

"Find a good Estate Agent" from an Estate Agent!!!
Obviously selling direct does mean you can avoid agent fees (and avoid having to deal with estate agents)
Well, its not my house and I'm not selling. It all just sounds kind of scammy to me..
....and another:
@harringayonline don't think they're ACTUALLY handwritten...I've had them from charities as well.

I think I can tell the difference :)
One of them came decorated with spelling mistakes too.
We had those when our house was on the market. We had no for sale sign outside. And they kept on coming. I reported them to the SNT, as I thought it was a bit freaky. It stopped after that. Have you tried Googeling the phone number?
