Hala Shows off New Interior and Starts Delivery Service
After taking over the old Hungarian grocery next door, Hala re-opened on Sunday bigger and better.
When I first saw the new decoration from the outside it felt a bit, well woody, but once we were inisde and settled down to a tasty meal, I really rather like it. Boss Eren has got the lighting right and the interior feels warm, welcoming yet up-to-date.
All the seating is now in the new half of the restaurant, with the business part of the operation now housed in the old half of the premises. There are also some very swish new loos too!
At the back of the restaurant is a private dining area. Seating up to 40, it can be closed off for private dining or parties and even has its own sound system.
As for the food, I don't know if it was my imagination, but everything tasted even better than before. I've always had a soft spot for Hala. So I'm glad to see it keeping up with the competition and still serving great food.

My favourite place to eat. They deserve every success; friendly. obliging, relaxed staff, and good service. Excellent atmosphere and good value high quality food.

It's very good to see Hala open again. Trudy and I went there with my son on Wednesday and found the usual team back at work and brimming over with pride in their spotless new place. We had been rather against the idea of Hala being enlarged but I can confirm that the food and friendliness are every bit as good as before.
