Great. I sing folk songs and would also love to learn the tin whistle. I have one but finding it impossible to teach myself.

Can I just give a little plug to this great new musical venture. Took my 10 year old along for the first time last night to join the fiddle class and she had a great time.  She was taught in a friendly and fun group of children her age and then joined all the classes for band practice (a new thing for her) to play the songs they are learning. When she finished she was very excited and enthused. Parents can come and watch band practice and no one seems to mind if you join in the singing too!

It's very close to Manor House and you can get a decent cup of coffee on the Park View cafe nearby while you're waiting for the class to finish.
