Good question, 'Why did they (the council) close the (8) youth clubs?'
Can't be for saving money. They don't cost much to run relatively speaking. In fact they save money/police time by giving young people something to do, instead of 'fighting' and doing 'street robbery', to quote the video commentators. If the council was/is serious about saving money they need to deal with their biggest lost making asset Alexandra Palace. But that's not as easy as closing youth clubs is it. Dealing with Ally Pally requires imagination.
